Avalanche is a cryptocurrency that claims it has the fastest smart contracts and thus low fees. It is eco-friendly as well, because it uses proof of stake and doesn’t require mining.
Currently, you can buy Avalanche (AVAX) on Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com, Kucoin, HotBit, Gate.io, and PancakeSwap, and multiple smaller exchanges you may see here:
Best for beginners: CoinBase and Crypto.com
If you are new to crypto the easiest way to buy Avalance is using CoinBase or Crypto.com. You may also consider Binance if you don’t have access to those two.
CoinBase’s commission range is between 0.50% to 2%.
Crypto.com’s fee range is between 0.4% to 0.1%.
More Advanced: Binance, Kucoin, Hotbit, Get.io
If you are not afraid of exchanges you may want to consider exchanges, as on average it has lower commission fees.
Binance has a separate simple interface for swapping cryptocurrencies, but for some other exchanges like Kucoin, you will have to use their trading interface.
Binance’s fees are between 0.75% and 0.1%.
Kucoin’s commissions are between 0.0125% and 0.10% per trade (how to use their trading interface you may read here).
Hotbit’s commissions are between 0.20% and 0.65%.
Get.io’s commissions are between 0.065% and 0.2%.
If you want privacy and decentralization: Pancakeswap
If you prefer to use only decentralized platforms consider Pancakeswap.
Although it is viable only if you buy a considerable amount, as it works on the Ethereum network and you will have to pay gas fees on top of the exchange’s fees.
Pancake’s fee is about 0.25% + gas fees.
